    The Carter Center was founded in 1982 by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, in partnership with Emory University, to advance peace and health worldwide.     This conference, which is organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), will immediately follow the Atlanta International Arbitration Society (AtlAS) conference and is also being held at the Marriott Buckhead Hotel & Conference Center.
    The DOC conference has been designed for businesses seeking to explore the dynamic and emerging markets of Sub-Saharan Africa. It will feature high-ranking U.S. government officials, visiting U.S. commercial diplomats posted at U.S. Embassies throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, and international business leaders from the private sector.
