AtlAS June plenary meeting

AtlAS’ June meeting will feature Laura Robertson, Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, IP & Legal Operations at ConocoPhillips.  Among other things, Laura directs Conoco’s worldwide arbitrations. One of Laura’s interesting cases involved Hugo Chavez’s nationalization of ConocoPhillip’s investments in Venezuela. The ICSID arbitration took place at the Hague and resulted in a substantial victory for ConocoPhillips, which is now pending review by an ICSID annulment committee. Laura will talk about ConocoPhillip’s efforts relative to Venezuela as well as her work supervising international arbitration including the selection of arbitral seats, counsel, experts and arbitrators.
